What’s your cancellation policy?

If your plans change, you can easily cancel your booking for a full refund up to 48 hours before your scheduled pick-up time.

How to cancel your reservation:

1 Log In 
Head over to the My Booking section on our website or app.

2 Select Cancel 
Click the "Cancel Booking" button.

3 Choose Your Refund

• Instant Booking Credit: We'll add the funds right to your profile for your next trip, and they stay good for 3 years.
• Cash Refund: We'll send the money back to your original payment method, which usually takes about 5 to 10 business days.

What Customers Often Expect vs What Actually Happens:

Expectation: "Since I just booked yesterday for a trip tomorrow, I can cancel for free."

Reality: For last-minute trips booked less than 48 hours before pick-up, the rental cost goes directly to the supplier to secure the car for you on short notice. If you decide to cancel, we are only able to refund the Full Coverage portion of your booking if you included it.

Expectation: "I can just cancel at the rental counter if the car isn't a good fit."

Reality: To process a cancellation, we need you to complete it through DiscoverCars.com before your scheduled pick-up time. If the pick-up time passes, the reservation is marked as complete, and the prepayment covers the cost of having held the car specifically for you.

💡 Did You Know?

Your Booking Credit stays valid for 3 full years to use on any future trip with us. 
If you choose the credit today but later change your mind, you can easily send the funds back to your original card using the handy link in your cancellation email, which is valid for one year.
