Travelled to Oroshaza for a 50th birthday celebration then spent a few days in Budapest. It's actually cheaper to rent a car if you have travel insurance that covers the waiver excess and pay for parking and fuel than to pay for a Taxi each way!

We spent a few nights in central Budapest, then hired a car to drive out to Lake Balaton for a few nights. Drive out of the city was easy enough, and very good roads all the way out. We stayed in Balatonfured, which was beautiful. Recently developed with mix of modern and traditional buildings, and a lively promenade with shops and restaurants.
