How do I cancel, extend or shorten my RentalCover protection?
If you'd like to cancel or shorten your RentalCover protection, you can easily do so right before your scheduled pick-up time.
If you need to extend your protection, you'll just set up a new, separate policy for those extra days directly through your RentalCover account.
Step-by-Step Guide:
You can remove RentalCover from your booking right up until your scheduled pick-up time through the "Manage Booking" section. We'll happily issue a full refund as long as the trip hasn't started yet!
While an existing RentalCover policy is set once it's confirmed, adding more time is a breeze!
Just log in to your account at RentalCover.com using your reference number ending in “-INS” and set up a brand-new policy for the exact extra days you need.
If you need coverage for fewer days, simply modify your booking before your pick-up time begins.
Once your rental starts, the protection is actively covering your trip, which means we aren't able to process a refund for it, even if you decide to drop the car off a little early.
"I can just update my existing RentalCover policy to add a few more days if I decide to keep the car longer."
Since confirmed RentalCover policies are set for specific dates, adding extra days simply means setting up a new policy for that extension period right on the RentalCover website.

Because your protection actively covers you from the exact moment your rental begins, we aren't able to offer a partial refund for any unused days after you pick up the car.
