Is everything included in the rental price?
The amount you pay in depends on whether you’re making an online payment today or paying the balance when you pick up your car.
Here’s a quick guide to help you know exactly what to expect:
1 Online Prepayment (Booking)
We want to make booking easy, so our website supports payments directly in AUD, BRL, GBP, CAD, EUR, NZD, and USD.
- If your card uses one of these currencies: You'll be charged in that exact currency.
- If your card uses a different currency (e.g., Swiss Francs, Yen): We’ll generally process the charge in one of our supported currencies (like USD or EUR). Your bank will then convert this to your local currency on your statement based on their daily exchange rate.
2 Pay at Pick-up (Balance / Deposit / Extras)
- Strict Rule: When paying at the rental desk, you’ll always be charged in the local currency of the country where you pick up the car (like Pesos in Mexico or Dirhams in the UAE).
- Why the price might look different: If your voucher shows an estimated price in your home currency (like £50), the rental agent will charge the equivalent in their local currency (like Euros). Your bank then converts those Euros back to Pounds.
Because exchange rates fluctuate and banks may have their own fees, the final amount on your statement might look slightly different from your voucher estimate.
💡Did You Know? (Pro-Tip on Exchange Rates)
When paying at the rental desk, the card terminal might ask if you want to pay in your home currency. We usually recommend choosing to pay in the local currency instead. Your own bank will typically give you a much better exchange rate than the rental terminal!
Important Note on Refunds:
If you need to cancel a booking, we’ll happily refund the exact amount we originally charged.
Because exchange rates naturally shift between the day you book and the day you cancel, the final amount showing in your account might be slightly higher or lower. Your bank manages these daily rates, so any small differences depend entirely on them.
