Senior UX/UI Designer
Join DiscoverCars.com and help us scale the world’s leading global car rental marketplace. We’re looking for a designer with strong visual craft and an appetite to grow into deeper product ownership. You’ll take ownership of a key product area — shaping high-quality user experiences, raising the visual bar, and helping us build scalable design foundations.
Designers looking to grow into product design will find plenty of opportunities to learn here — with 1M+ bookings a year, dedicated user research, and a mature A/B testing program, decisions are grounded in real user data and measurable impact.
What you’ll do
- Own design for a product area. Take end-to-end responsibility for design within a domain (e.g. Growth, mobile, or new products), ensuring quality and consistency across all touchpoints.
- Raise the visual bar. Deliver high-quality UI and visual work across web and mobile — landing pages, growth campaigns, new product launches — at a production-ready standard we’re proud of.
- Ship outcomes, not just designs. Translate product and business goals into clear design solutions, balancing speed and quality while continuously improving shipped experiences.
- Build scalable systems. Contribute to and evolve our design system, components, and patterns to lift consistency across the team.
- Drive product thinking. Identify problems and opportunities yourself, contribute to solution definition, and partner closely with product managers and engineers to shape direction.
- Learn from real users. Participate in user testing, validation, and performance analysis to inform design decisions — and let real data sharpen your instincts.
What we’re looking for
Must have
- 5+ years of design experience across agency, in-house, or product roles, with at least some exposure to shipping digital products.
- Excellent visual craft — a portfolio of polished, considered work with a high bar for detail.
- Curiosity and appetite for product thinking — you want to understand users and business trade-offs, not just push pixels.
- Strong collaboration skills and comfort working with PMs and engineers.
Nice to have
- Agency background, especially in e-commerce, digital, or consumer brands.
- Experience on consumer-facing platforms with high traffic and experimentation.
- Interest in using AI and modern tools to scale design workflows.
- Experience contributing to design systems.
- Exposure to A/B testing and conversion optimization.
- Mobile app design experience.

Location
This is a hybrid role based in Riga — we’d expect you in the office a few days a week, with flexibility to work from home the rest of the time.
