Pros: Nothing
Cons: Waited an hour for the vehicle and then had to be transported into town 7km away to get the vehicle next to the road. No fuel in the vehicle so representatives had to go from garage to garage wit a jerry can to find fuel. Once on the road the electrical socket didn't work so i couldn't use my gps. Late in the afternoon Hertz delivered a new vehicle to me in working condition with fuel. I am still wating for the deposit to be released a week later and still have not received the final invoice.
Pros: Mr Nevermind Kanyumba was very helpful and friendly. Made me feel valued as a customer. His colleague, Yotamu, also helped clear the lien on my credit card promptly after asking.
Cons: The vehicles had an unreasonably high price-tag and so I was forced to pick the cheapest option which wasn't near optimal for the Zimbabwean roads. The inability to use local cards when renting was also wildly inconvenient and does not make reasonable sense when you take into account fees, exchange rates as well as the unpredictability components of both the final charge and final exchange rate used.
