Our Europcar rental office is located within Heathfield Industrial Estate, directly behind Border Cars on Boundary Road. The rental office is approximately 3 miles from Prestwick Airport. For customers arriving at Prestwick Airport, there is a taxi rank directly outside the main doors and the cost is approximately £8 for an 8 minute journey.

Cons: I asked for a car to be picked up at Prestwick airport and dropped off there .. to arrive at Prestwick to be told the office had moved into the next town and I would need to get a taxi !!! Taxi fare cost £7.70 each way and luckily I was there as my partner normally travels on her own ,, as the car had to be dropped off at 5am in the morning I certainly would not like her to be hanging around alone in an industrial estate ,,

Driver requirements
Minimum rental age is 22 years.
Minimum rental age is 23 years for car group Compact, Intermediate.
Minimum rental age is 25 years for car group Luxury, Premium, Fullsize.
Minimum rental age is 28 years for car group Wagons.
Minimum rental age is 30 years for car group Cabrios, Special.
A young driver fee applies to drivers under the age of 26.
Maximum rental age is 75 years.
A Senior driver fee is not applied.
The driver license must have been issued by authorized authorities at least 2 year(s) before the date of the commencement of the rental.
UK customers must bring their DVLA check code along with their photo ID. This check code can be obtained from the DVLA website.
UK residents that hold a non-UK licence may drive in the UK for up to 12 months from the time they become a resident. After 12 months, the overseas licence will be deemed illegal in the UK and it must be exchanged for the UK equivalent.
Residents of the following country(ies): United Kingdom are required to present the following document(s): passport, valid driver license, credit card on a main drivers name, booking voucher, additional ID showing home address (e.g. Utility bill) in order to pick up the car.
Residents of the following country(ies): Non-UK are required to present the following document(s): passport, valid driver license, credit card on a main drivers name, booking voucher, additional ID showing home address (e.g. Utility bill), proof of entry/exit into/out of the country in order to pick up the car.
In addition to the regular driver license, an International Driving Permit is also mandatory if the driver license is written in a language other than that of the renting country and/or in characters that cannot be read in the renting country.
Please note that the International Driving Permit is valid only if accompanied by the regular driver license.

Deposit and deductible policy
A deposit will be blocked on the customer's credit card until the end of the rental period.
The exact deposit is determined on pick up since the amount is dependent on the type of vehicle.
If the customer takes the following extra equipment: GPS Navigation system, Child seat (2-4 years of age), Booster seat (4-10 years of age), then an additional amount of deposit will be held on their credit card.
