Pros: The agen'ts rep., Erica, was very helpful, communicative and efficient in resolving an issue that we had.
Cons: The first car had no USB socket for our sat-nav., but they had no other car so it had to be swapped the next day. The replacemnt car developed a slipping clutch and had to be "nursed" over the last few days to prevent total failure. Not easy on the steep, winding and poorly maintained roads in Crete. When I reported the problem, toward the end of the rental, Avance said it was normal for a Nissan Micra to do that.

Pros: Easy and good price
Cons: Not clear at time of booking that it was just off airport site. Not a major issue but took a little walk and ask around to locate the office.

Rate includes
Free cancellation with a full refund up to 48 hours before your pick-up time, Unlimited mileage, First additional driver, Collision Damage Waiver (deductible: € 744.00), Theft Protection, Roadside Assistance (in the country of pick up), Third Party Liability, VAT (value added tax), Free modifications.
Driver requirements
Minimum rental age is 23 years.
A Young driver fee is not applied.
There is no maximum age.

The driver license must have been issued by authorized authorities at least 1 year(s) before the date of the commencement of the rental.
Driver licenses will be accepted if issued in the following country(ies): EU countries.

Rental period
The maximum rental period per agreement is 29 days. If the renter would like to extend the rental period, renter should return to the car hire office at the end of the rental period to sign a new agreement.
Business hours
Period of time, during regular working hours, when the car is still guaranteed for the customer, if the customer is late for pick up (the grace period) is 180 minutes.
