Cons: As there is nobody in the office in Madalena, you need to call and wait until somebody comes from the airport. At drop-off it was very stressful, as I had to wait until 25 min before departure of my ferry (and still you need to get to the port, buy the ticket and check in the baggage) just to give the car keys back. And all of this with the pick-up and drop-off times well communicated upfront...

A driver license printed using a non-Roman alphabet (Arabic, Japanese, Cyrillic, etc) must be supplemented by an International Driving Permit.
In addition to the regular driver license, an International Driving Permit is also mandatory if the customer is not a resident of the following country(ies): Antigua and Barbuda, Cayman Islands, China, Virgin Islands US, Bermuda, Palestina, Anguilla, North Korea, Dominica, Eritrea, Cook Island, British Virgin Island, Montserrat, Western Sahara, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Tonga.
In order to pick up the car, the following documents are required: valid driver license, credit card on a main drivers name, Passport or ID card, booking voucher.
